For successful cooperation between two parties the importance of the human factor is unquestionable. Adrienn Farkas, Account Manager at Noventiq, also believes that communication and respect for each other are just as important as in-depth knowledge. In addition to her work, Adrienn talked about coordinating international projects and the role of in-person meetings.
As an Account Manager, what is important to you when it comes to client service?
I‘m in my element when I can have direct contact with clients. Before Noventiq, I also worked as an account manager in the telecoms sector, so I had a lot of experience of what makes a client relationship successful and effective. While the IT industry has brought with it many specificities, the fundamentals and goals of customer service are similar in both sectors.
Online communication is certainly effective and practical, but I also value the power of face-to-face meetings. It’s worth taking the time to meet in person because it allows the parties to get to know each other better. In my experience, during the first face-to-face meeting, certain issues and questions might arise more naturally or quickly than in online meetings. After that, of course, online cooperation works perfectly well.
Last year you were responsible for a special project involving a new partner, LeanIX. Tell us a little about the collaboration.
LeanIX provides an enterprise architecture management tool for designing and managing IT environments. It primarily offers SaaS solutions. The collaboration was very exciting, as it was based on the coordinated work of four parties. In addition to liaising with the client, LeanIX, Softline AG (a Noventiq company), and the Noventiq team worked together to provide the best solution to the challenge outlined by the client. All of the players have strong expertise in their respective fields, and it was a fantastic experience to be part of such a high-quality collaboration. The vast majority of the discussions took place online, but we also had the opportunity to present the proposed solution and related tools in a face-to-face meeting. The in-person meeting provided all participants with an accurate picture of the expected outcome, which gave the project a huge boost.
These collaborations are very much to the benefit of all participants. The client gets a team of experts who guarantee the highest professional competence in all areas, and the collaborating partners can bring a broader base of experience to the market.
What is the key to a successful partnership?
I would highlight the role of the human factor. In addition to thorough, in-depth knowledge, communication and respect for each other are just as important. The Noventiq team represents all these values, whether we are working together locally or internationally. We work in an environment where we trust each other and seek solutions together.
You work with clients from several sectors. What are the common challenges in the market now?
The future is clearly in cloud services, across all sectors and activities. The enterprise commercial sector is usually faster to respond to specific challenges than the public sector. At the same time, they have in common that, during the pandemic, they had to create the conditions for remote working at a rapid pace and have gained a lot of experience since then. One of the most important areas that remote working has highlighted is cybersecurity. Not only does remote access to data and documents need to be ensured, but it also requires a secure IT infrastructure that can detect and prevent malicious attacks in time. On the other hand, it is also worth reviewing the services implemented for remote working. Efficiency can be significantly increased by well-chosen systems and applications that can seamlessly work together.
What trends should companies keep an eye on?
In addition to cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT) and automation are areas of constant development. There is a lot of potential offered by these technologies that can support the companies’ daily operations, but there are still many questions around exactly how they can be used and what benefits they can bring. Even so, it’s worth assessing their potential, as they can make a big difference in the success of a company.
Your work is quite fast-paced. How do you spend your free time?
I like to keep myself busy when I'm not working, I'm an active person: I like to travel and I am very much into sports. Handball has been a part of my life since I was a kid, it’s a sport and a team activity for me. I also ski, run and do cross training. And my day can’t be complete without a long walk with my dog or cycling with my family.
